New Fleet Broadband plans introduced by Inmarsat for 2019, large allowance plans now available for as little as one month

Feb 5, 2019 | Latest News

Inmarsat has made some significant changes to the Fleet Broadband plans for 2019. One of the most important changes is that now vessels can activate the larger FB plans without long commitments for as little as one month at a time, with 12 and 24 month options also available. Furthermore, some of the 2018 plans have been replaced with larger allowance plans.

In addition, new Flexible 36 month plans have been introduced. These plans offer 500MB, 1.5GB, 6GB and 10GB allowances which over the 36 month contract enable vessels to move up or down between any of these packages without penalty, as often as required. These are useful for vessels which may enter drydock or layup, as the vessel can move from a larger plan that was in use during operations to a smaller one until it returns to sea, when it can move up again.
