As the maritime sector continues its path towards digitization, there is an increased need from technical and operational departments to have a real time, centralized, detailed listing of their vessels’ IT and OT infrastructure & equipment, and be able to monitor its health status. In response to this need, Navarino introduces Spectrum, a toolkit comprising a suite of software designed to serve this scope and aimed at IT departments.

Service Description

Spectrum includes an Asset Management component, suitable for the IT and OT equipment of a vessel, as well as Remote Monitoring and  Remote maintenance and management components, which can be used to ease daily operations. With its shore-side central management system, Spectrum provides efficiency to fleet-wide operations while ensuring that all data is fully synchronized between the vessel and the shore side dashboard.

Spectrum can be used by vessels with any connectivity solution on board, via an Infinity unit. A dashboard which displays all available information, is available on both the shore and vessel side. In addition to the dashboard, all information is available via a complete API which can be used for integration with other systems.

Service Components

The Asset Management component will be able to support any asset category with an emphasis on those categories that are specific to the maritime sector. The operator of the system will also be able to define custom asset categories, providing a flexible and complete solution. The asset categories include both equipment that is connected to the vessel’s IT network as well as to OT assets. With Spectrum, network-enabled equipment is being populated automatically, providing a complete picture of equipment, software catalog, physical and network topology. This information is available in printable reports from both the vessel’s dashboard and the centralized fleet-wide dashboard.

The Remote monitoring and the Remote management and maintenance components are designed to cover all the needs of a modern ship operators’ IT department. Key functionalities, like monitoring the health of each PC and server, utilization graphs, performance metrics that are bundled together with a list of maintenance actions, remote execution of scripts and an application store will all help to ease daily operations. Highlights of the above components are the application store, OS patching, and alerts for configurable events.
