Over the summer, Navarino welcomed several young interns into our Pireaus offices who spent time in each of our departments. One of them, Tassos Pikounis, a student at Royal Holloway in London, was with us for several weeks and enjoyed learning about our industry and the insights it gave him.
He said ‘I would like to thank Navarino for the internship this summer. Learning about the uses of satellite telecommunications in the shipping industry and how Angel has impacted cyber security in the field was a unique and interesting opportunity. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I was amazed by the company’s ethos and the working environment and facilities. The experience clarified my ambitions as to what career I want to pursue in the future.
The management style, always open to ideas, helped me gain a picture of what working for a good company in the industry can be like. I hope in future to work in maritime cyber security, or in artificial intelligence so this internship was really useful to me.’
